Welcome to our Online Educational Resource: Opportunities For Educational Apps.
Over the coming days we are going to explore the world of educational apps and complete three activities that relate to them. It is an area than has seen a great deal of growth in the past few years and seems poised to do so in the years to come. Our objectives for this OER are:
1. To identify current trends and key players in the mobile educational app market.
2. To examine consumer wants to gain insight into the development of educational apps.
3. To introduce opportunities in the mobile educational app market and to collaboratively review these opportunities and provide examples of apps that are already capitalizing on them.
4.To analyze emerging funding options and revenue models for mobile educational apps.
5. To use key criteria identified in a consumer survey to evaluate and improve an existing mobile educational app.
